At a Loss for Words

We are taught, especially in today's world, that trusting strangers is the same as putting your hand on a stove plate and holding it there. So when we make new friends, meet new business colleagues or make deals with people, be it business or personal, we are always cautious. We put contracts in place, we take our heart off our sleeve and put it in our pockets and we tread with caution until we ease into a comfortable pattern and develop a basis for trust.

I've been doing this my entire life. Until recently. I went out on a limb, professionally. I worked long hours and stayed up all night completing work that was part of my freelancing. I was excited, I feel alive when I take on a new project. It's a new challenge and the payment is always well worth my time and effort. The reward is good.
